1. POSITION(S) VACANT: Manager- Training, IIMPACT, Gurugram

 

2. ORGANIZATION BACKGROUND:

 

Established in 2003, IIMPACT is an initiative of alumni of the batch of 1978, from the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad, providing primary education across India, to young girls from socially and economically disadvantaged communities, with no access to schooling.

 

The vision and mission of IIMPACT is to transform the lives of women, families, and entire communities in India by the education and empowerment of the girl child, by mobilizing and motivating non-school going girls, between the ages of 6 and 14, from economically and socially backward rural areas and providing them high-quality, relevant education at IIMPACT Learning Centres.

 

IIMPACT has helped +50,000 girls in 1,500 villages in 11 states of India, to date. Of these over 26,000 girls have completed primary education at IIMPACT Learning Centres and joined mainstream, government-run, upper primary and secondary education institutions. Over the years, IIMPACT has developed a clear strategy and a proven delivery model, both in terms of social outcomes, as well as scalability.

3. JOB DESCRIPTION/ RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

IIMPACT wishes to hire a high-energy, result-oriented development professional, with a strong interest in the roll out and assessment of training programs and proven competency in the area.

 

The incumbent shall be responsible for implementing and operationalise a robust training delivery system that will ensure a consistent standard of training delivery approach is maintained at every level and take effective interventions to build a culture of learning and help generate interest in training amongst teachers.

 

Key Job Responsibilities:

 

(A) Conduct of Training and Content Creation:
(1) Ensure Quality of teachers through participation in content creation, trainings and assessments;
(2) Develop needed content and support material for trainings including pre- post-tests;
(3) Develop training calendar and lead in conduct of Direct training programs for teachers and academic staff as well as other need -based trainings;
(4) Support program team in PNGO Capacity building trainings as and when required;
(5) Coordinate the process of development of ‘LMS platform’ for teacher/ academic staff training;
(6) Conduct training programmes of teachers and academic staff around usage of LMS for professional enhancement;
(7) Coordinate consolidated training reports/ presentations for management and donors on quarterly basis or as asked;
(8) Contribute in the process of curriculum enhancement for children.

 

(B) Assessments:
(a) Support in roll out and implementation of Teacher assessments in the field-

(1) Manage and assist in training assessments;
(2) Standardize the Pre-test and post -test papers and assist in rolling out the Pre-test & post-test;
(3) Train and equip field staff with appropriate apparatus to carry-out assessments in required manner. Improve the assessments investing in capability of IIMPACT field staff and PNGO staff;
(4) Verify data obtained from field on training assessment and input to MIS;
(5) Build partnerships with right kind of people / organizations on various aspect of the work – including third party assessments.

 

(b) Support in roll out and implementation of Child assessments in the field:
(1) Coordinate the roll out of child assessment;
(2) Develop the baseline, midline, end line assessments and supervise the roll out of the same;
(3) Conduct random internal Quarterly Child assessments for quality control purposes , identification of issues and solutions;
(4) Analysis and interpretation of Assessment Data.

 

4. QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND COMPETENCIES:

 

Qualification
Applicants must have a master’s in social development, education, educational pedagogy or related field.

 

Experience
(1) Applicant must have more than five years of progressive experience in training, professional development, tech enabled trainings preferably in the educator sector /in social development sphere;
(2) Experience in the area of Training rural teachers/ workers would be an asset.

 

Skills and Competencies
(1) Good knowledge of approaches , systems and processes in training and professional development;
(2) Ability to design clear and attractive presentations and other communication documents, including training manuals/ reports;
(3) Good understanding of LMS and its functionalities;
(4) Good understanding of gender and social inclusion aspects which is needed to work with girls from deprived background Self Confidence & Stress Management;
(5) Communication Excellent written and oral communication, and presentation skills;
(6) Adaptability to change and work in team;
(7) Willingness to travel across India in the intervention states of IIMPACT;
(8) Good understanding of Data management and interpretation;

(9) Willingness and ability to visit the field (10 to 12 days in a month).

 

5. COMPENSATION OFFERED:

 

Gross compensation budgeted for the position is attractive. The offer made to the selected candidate shall be commensurate with qualifications, experience, and salary history.
