Senior Manager/ Associate Director - Corporate Volunteering

1. POSITION VACANT: Senior Manager/ Associate Director – Corporate Volunteering, Bangalore/ Chennai/ Mumbai/ Delhi/ Hyderabad/ Pune, India (One Vacancy)

 

2. ORGANISATION BACKGROUND:

 

Our client is a highly reputed NGO that believes, every underprivileged child deserves quality education and works toward transforming India through volunteering with a vision of making volunteering a national habit.

 

3. JOB DESCRIPTION/ RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

Reporting to the Director Programme, the Senior Manager/ Associate – Director shall be responsible for strategizing and improving the corporate volunteering programme nationally. The key responsibilities are including but not limited to the following:

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

A. Corporate Partnership:

(1) Incorporating strategic collaboration with external entities to facilitate efficient volunteer-project matching and sustain engagement through diverse opportunity provision;

(2) Promoting a strong culture of volunteerism and civic responsibility among corporate employees;

(3) Increasing volunteer activation and recurring volunteer engagement through corporate partnerships.

 

B. Volunteerism Expansion Strategy:

(1) Playing an active role in scaling the cause of volunteerism in India through thought leadership and networks;

(2) Developing and leveraging networks within corporate, government, NGO, and relevant sectors to facilitate collaboration and information sharing, thereby enhancing the impact of the volunteerism movement in India;

(3) Organizing large-scale volunteer events and campaigns to raise awareness and mobilize individuals and organizations to participate in volunteer activities across India.

 

C. Team Leadership Development:

(1) Leading, coaching, and nurturing employees and volunteer coordinators into a high-performance team;

(2) Building and nurturing a team of volunteer coordinators, ensuring they are well-trained, mentored, and supported to excel in managing volunteer programs effectively;

(3) Demonstrating leadership by setting a positive example and inspiring employee involvement in volunteerism through personal commitment and motivation.

 

D. Knowledge Culture Integration:

(1) Building systems, culture, and the team to support the program with a focus on continuous learning, improvement, and rapid growth;

(2) Creating efficient volunteer management systems and procedures to facilitate scalability and optimize efficiency, which may involve integrating volunteer management tools, developing standardized protocols, and defining metrics to evaluate program effectiveness;

(3) Promoting a culture of ongoing learning and enhancement to stimulate innovation and maintain program responsiveness to the evolving requirements of volunteers and the communities they support.

 

4. QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND COMPETENCIES:

 

Qualification and Experience

(1) Degree in Management, Social Sciences, or other related fields from a reputed institution. Management degree from a tier-1 institute will be an advantage.

(2) Minimum five years of relevant professional experience in leading team and project management;

(3) Demonstrated experience in business development and/or marketing with the ability to engage a wide range of stakeholders and cultures;

(4) Should have prior experience of volunteering;
(5) Proven track record of effectively leading and regionally/ nationally scaling a performance and outcomes based business.

 

Skills and Competencies:

(1) Strong influencing skills, people engagement, networking and listening skills;

(2) A persuasive and passionate communicator with excellent interpersonal and multidisciplinary project skills;
(3) Strong IT skills and aptitude for adoption of digital technology;

(4) Excellence in organizational management, ability to coach staff, manage, and develop high-performance teams, set, and achieve strategic objectives, and manage finances;

(5) Highly resourceful team-player, who is self-driven and willing to travel nationally;
(6) Unwavering commitment to quality programs and data-driven program evaluation

 

5. COMPENSATION OFFERED:

 

Gross compensation budgeted for the position is attractive and ranges from Rs. 16 to 18 lacs per annum. The offer made to the selected candidate shall be commensurate with qualifications, experience, and salary history.

 

6. LOCATION:  Bangalore/ Chennai/ Mumbai/ Delhi/ Hyderabad/ Pune

 

Note: The post holder can be located in any of the above locations based on mutual agreement.
