1. JOB TITLE: HR Officers (5 Vacancies; 1 Vacancy each in North, East, West, South and North-East Zones)

3. PROJECT BACKGROUND:

 

SAMS is inviting Expressions of Interest (EOI) from appropriately qualified and experienced candidates, with experience in HR functions, in the context of an upcoming public health project, which SAMS is bidding for. Shortlisted candidates shall be considered for project-specific roles, in the event of award of the bid to SAMS.

 

4. JOB DESCRIPTION/ RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

Multiple vacancies for HR Officers (HRO) are anticipated with SAMS for a large public health project with an International Development Agency for the recruitment of manpower, payroll management and training of HR, across all states of India.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

(1) Recruitment

(a) Develop recruitment strategy for the project’s resource requirements;

(b) Finalize Job Descriptions and develop outreach plans;

(c) Screen, assess and shortlist suitable candidates within stringent deadlines

(d) Coordinate interviews with shortlisted candidates.

 

(2) HR Operations

(a) Issue of contracts/ employment letters;

(b) Induction and orientation of new joinees;

(c) Annual compensation structuring/ restructuring based on competitive benchmarking, performance appraisal, regulatory changes, etc.;

(d) Provide support in monthly payroll generation;

(e) Ensuring regulatory compliances;

(f) Conduct of Performance Appraisal;

(g) Monitor labour laws and implement required changes to keep the process compliant.

 

(3) Report Writing and Audit Support

(a) Facilitate the conduct of periodic audits, including programmatic and financial reviews;

(b) Prepare and submit monthly and quarterly reports.

 

5. QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND COMPETENCIES:

 

Qualifications: 
MBA and/or Post Graduate Diploma/ Degree in HR/ Personnel/ Management/ Social Sciences, from a reputed institution.

 

Experience: 
(1) 8-10 years’ experience in HR functions with emphasis on recruitment is essential; 
(2) Prior exposure to the public health, development, and/or CSR sectors, shall be an advantage;
(3) Experience of recruiting for the government and/or government projects, at the National/ State level will be an added advantage.

 

Required Skills: 
(1) Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English; Knowledge of local language of the region is an added advantage.

(2) Willingness to undertake periodic travel within assigned zone in the context of recruitment and training project.

 

6. COMPENSATION OFFERED:

 

Gross annual remuneration budgeted for the position is upto Rs. 60,000 per month. Offers shall be commensurate with the qualifications, experience and salary history, of the selected candidate.

 

7. LOCATION: 

 

Vacancies exist for one HRO each in North, East, West, South and North East Zones, across the country. Selected candidates may be based in any state within the zone and shall work from home, with periodic travel on account of project related work.
