3. JOB DESCRIPTION/ RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

Sehgal Foundation wishes to hire an outstanding IT professional, with expertise in systems design, who shall provide support in designing detail documentation for the development and integration of computer systems to meet organizational needs.

 

The IT vertical envisions to set up an organization wide MIS to streamline documentation and reporting requirements at all levels.

 

Reporting to the Director- Development Research and Policy Initiatives, the MIS Manager shall be responsible for providing the infrastructure support for automation and implementing the governance for the use of network and operating systems, thereby assisting the operational units and providing them the functionality they require.

 

Key Responsibilities:

(1) Work with the senior management team, develop conceptual design by taking technical requirements and design system components to meet the set requirements;

(2) Draw up detailed design documentation including charts and diagrams that indicate the various components involved;

(3) Develop and implement standardized MIS procedures across all organizational processes and development initiatives;

(4) Perform periodic maintenance and servicing of MIS system to improve operational efficiency;

(5) Provide support for OS issues, network problems and software installations, etc.

(6) Conduct training on MIS activities to increase staff expertise;

(7) Develop and implement MIS components for data accuracy and security;

(8) Prepare instructions for systems development agency;

(9) Discuss with other team members to ensure functionality according to systems specifications, and provide solutions, if any problems or issues arise;

(10) Develop Theory of Change (ToC), Results Framework and M&E Plan for programmes processes;

(11) Recommend and implement new technology solutions to improve productivity and working with the agency for computing the MIS dashboard.

 

4. QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND COMPETENCIES:

 

Qualifications:

Applicants must have master’s degree in Information Technology or related field.

 

Experience:

(1) Minimum six years of professional experience, with four years in developing, designing and managing MIS of a development organization;

(2) Prior experience in undertaking monitoring and evaluation studies;

(3) Certifications in MIS system design would be a plus.

 

Essential Skills and Competencies:

(1) High-level data collation and analysis skills including multivariate analysis using software;

(2) Excellent knowledge of Internet and Microsoft Office (Excel, SQL);

(3) Proven written and presentation skills in a range of formats (briefings, reports, summaries, etc.);

(4) Excellent knowledge of English (written and spoken);

 

5. COMPENSATION OFFERED:

 

Gross compensation budgeted for the position is attractive. The actual offer made to the selected candidate shall be commensurate with qualifications, experience and salary history.
