Job Description

1. POSITION VACANT: Team Lead - ECCE, CSR Foundation, Navi Mumbai

 

2. ORGANIZATIONAL BACKGROUND:

 

Our client is a leading Indian CSR organization driving inclusive development through impactful programs in Rural Transformation, Education, Health, Women Empowerment, Disaster Management, Urban Renewal, and Arts, Culture & Heritage in collaboration with public, private, and community partners.

 

3. JOB DESCRIPTION/ RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

Organisation’s Early Childhood Care and Education (ECCE) programme aims to improve quality of ECCE for 3–6-year-old children, especially in Anganwadi centres. ECCE is one of the newest strategic initiatives of the Foundation, and as part of the newly established ECCE team, all team members will play a key role in establishing, strengthening and expanding the programme across multiple states.

 

The Lead - Projects will be responsible for implementation of the programme, working closely with state teams and other programme leads.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

(A) Programme Management

(1) Lead the project management function and implementation of key initiatives;

(2) Support State Programme Manager(s) to implement the programme in states, through joint planning and reviews with Government departments and partners;

(3) Develop project management framework and implementation plan, ensuring that activities of field implementation partners, technical partners and Foundation’s teams are aligned and coordinated;

(4) Build a risk register to identify programme risks;

(5) Develop monitoring mechanisms in consultation with M&E team and partners to assess the fidelity of implementation, and quality and effectiveness of the programme;

(6) Review the programme periodically, including visiting the field regularly, to ensure delivery against agreed milestones and targets, identify gaps in delivery, and take corrective measures to reduce implementation gaps as needed.

 

(B) Partnerships

(1) Support Partnerships Lead to identify and onboard potential partners for field implementation, capacity building, technical support etc;

(2) Provide technical support on key initiatives and build capacity of partners to implement the programme.

 

(C) Innovations

(1) Iterate activities and processes, based on learnings from the field and implementation gaps;

(2) Design and facilitate processes for innovations - starting with identification of opportunities, incorporating stakeholder needs, evidence-based best practices, latest research, new technology etc. and working with partners to prototype and test new ideas.

 

(D) Other Activities

(1) Work together with M&E, Communications, Research to highlight insights and impact of the programme;

(2) Any other responsibilities, as per programme and organizational requirements, as assigned by line manager.

4. QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND COMPETENCIES:

 

Qualification:
Applicant must have Postgraduate degree in education / social work / social science / rural management or any relevant field. Qualification in Early Childhood Development / Engineering / Computer Science / IT / ITES is desired.

 

Experience:
(1) Minimum 10 years of relevant work experience, with a track record of managing complex programmes and leading operations;

(2) Experience of managing large programmes in education and/or ECCE;

(3) Experience of managing projects to develop technology solutions for the development sector, or to develop smart Anganwadis / schools;

(4) Experience of working with Women and Child Development (WCD) and/or Education departments;

(5) Understanding of Project Management software and tools;

(6) Understanding of Human Centred Design methods.

 

Skills and Competencies:

 

Functional:

(1) Proficiency in English; working knowledge of Hindi will be an advantage;

(2) Excellent communication, analysis and presentation skills. Proficiency in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint is essential;

(3) Excellent project management and coordination skills. Ability to manage processes and activities in a result-oriented manner and work effectively to tight deadlines;

(4) Conversant with new technology, especially in education.

5. COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:

 

Gross compensation budgeted for the position is attractive. Please note that the offer made to the selected candidate shall be commensurate with qualifications, experience, and salary history.
