Job Description

1. POSITION VACANT: Lead - Talent Acquisition & Executive Search, Leading Philanthropic Organization, Mumbai

 

2. ORGANIZATIONAL BACKGROUND:

The organization focuses on addressing complex development challenges through innovation, partnerships, and programme implementation. 3. JOB DESCRIPTION/ RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

Reporting to the Talent Acquisition SPOC, the Lead – Talent Acquisition & Executive Search shall be responsible for designing and implementing innovative recruitment and search strategies, aligning hiring practices with organizational goals, and ensuring the acquisition of high-quality talent across functions. The incumbent will oversee the full recruitment lifecycle, manage multiple concurrent searches, and leverage data-driven and market intelligence inputs to enhance hiring quality, diversity, and efficiency.

 

Key Responsibilities:
(1) Design and execute innovative recruiting and search strategies to attract high-quality talent across functions;

(2) Align recruitment and search practices with organizational goals and workforce planning;

(3) Champion a culture of excellence and engagement through strong talent practices;

(4) Manage the full recruitment lifecycle, from sourcing to onboarding, across all roles and positions;

(5) Handle multiple searches simultaneously, ensuring prioritisation, sequencing, and timely closure of critical positions;

(6) Continuously improve recruitment and search processes to reduce time-to-hire and enhance quality of hire;

(7) Leverage technology, tools, and platforms to enhance recruitment efficiency, intelligence, and delivery quality;

(8) Partner with HR, department heads, and leadership to understand hiring needs and drive collaborative, well-calibrated recruitment processes;

(9) Build, manage, and sustain strategic relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners, including recruitment agencies, headhunters, and job boards, ensuring performance accountability and delivery quality;

(10) Track, analyze, and report key recruitment metrics such as time-to-fill, cost-per-hire, and quality of hire;

(11) Use data-driven insights and market intelligence to continuously refine recruitment and search strategies;

(12) Develop and implement strategies to attract a diverse workforce and promote inclusive hiring practices;

(13) Lead proactive headhunting and market mapping for niche, leadership, and hard-to-fill roles, including passive talent identification and engagement;

(14) Drive search-based recruitment approaches beyond traditional sourcing channels, including discreet outreach, talent intelligence, and competitor mapping;

(15) Provide interpretive market inputs to internal stakeholders on talent availability, role calibration, compensation benchmarks, and hiring feasibility.

 

4. QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND COMPETENCIES:

 

Qualifications:
Full-time MBA in Human Resources or equivalent, from a Tier-1 or Tier-2 institution.

 

Experience:
(1) Applicant must have 10–12 years of high-quality talent acquisition experience in structured, process-driven environments. Candidates with 7+ years of strong leadership experience in talent acquisition or related strategic roles may also be considered;

(2) Strong preference for candidates with talent acquisition experience in Big 4 consulting firms (Consulting / Advisory / People Consulting verticals only – not Audit) or other leading consulting and professional services firms;

(3) Demonstrated, hands-on experience in search-led recruitment and headhunting, including niche, leadership, and hard-to-fill roles, covering passive talent identification, market mapping, discreet outreach, and talent intelligence;

(4) Prior experience in the philanthropic / social sector will be an added advantage.

(4) Excellent persuasion, influencing, and stakeholder management skills;

(7) Proven capability in active search, headhunting, and passive talent engagement;

(8) Strong market intelligence and talent mapping orientation;

(9) Ability to operate as a trusted hiring advisor, not only as an execution partner.

 

5. COMPENSATION OFFERED:

 

The compensation offered for the position is competitive and will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.

 

6. LOCATION: Mumbai

 

7. NATURE OF APPOINTMENT: This is a full-time, permanent on-roll position.
