1. POSITION VACANT: Finance and Admin Manager (Reputed Not-for-Profit Organization), New Delhi

 

2. ORGANIZATION BACKGROUND:

 

Our client is a respected not-for-profit organization that works on environmental issues.

 

3. JOB DESCRIPTION/ RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

This is an exciting opportunity for a competent and ambitious finance and admin professional to support the finance and admin and related functions of a respected, not-for-profit organization.

 

Reporting to the Senior Director Finance, the Finance and Admin Manager (FAM) shall be responsible for managing the finance and administrative functions.

 

Key Roles and Responsibilities:
(1) Oversee FCRA compliances, which shall include maintenance of separate books of accounts, managing sub-accounts, FCRA returns, and other compliances;
(2) Develop annual budgets as per the organizational and programmatic requirement and ensure timely monitoring and reporting;
(3) Prepare monthly variance analysis reports (budget vs actual) for each project and consolidated reports for the organization as a whole;
(4) Ensure the accuracy of project and cost center coding by the accounts section while recording transactions, as well as the timely input of accounting entries on the same day;

(5) Develop an MIS suitable for tracking bills, maintaining accounts/ reporting system, etc.

(6) Support internal and statutory audits, ensuring their timely completion with unqualified reports. Ensure timely preparation of financial statements and related schedules;

(7) Ensure compliance with all legal and fiscal obligations;

(8) Oversee the conduct of key administrative tasks, including office maintenance, inventory management, vendor management, communications, filing systems, etc.

(9) Coordinate logistics for meetings; Manage official travel and accommodation arrangements, for concerned staff;

(10) Oversee the provision of IT support, functioning of office equipment, and coordination of procurement for the organization.

 

4. QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND COMPETENCIES:

 

Qualifications:
Applicants must possess a Masters’ degree in Finance/ Accounts/ Commerce or equivalent.

 

Experience:
Applicants must have a minimum of 8-10 years of professional experience in the development sector.

 

Essential Skills and Competencies:
(1) Excellent communication and analytical skills;
(2) Strong verbal and written communication skills;
(3) Experience in Tally-9 Accounting Package, or comparable accounting system;
(4) Good computer skills including Microsoft Suite with emphasis on Excel and Word;
(5) Able to work independently, handle multiple tasks, stay organized, work under pressure and meet deadlines.

 

5. COMPENSATION OFFERED:

 

Gross compensation for the position shall be attractive. The offer made to the selected candidate shall be commensurate with qualifications, experience, and salary history.
