1.  POSITION VACANT: Senior HR and Admin Specialist, Water.org, New Delhi

Reporting to the Senior Manager- Business Operations, the Senior Human Resource and Admin Specialist (SHRAS) shall be responsible for Human Resources management and overall day-to-day local administration of the Delhi office. S/he will also be assisting in certain areas to provide support to IT team members and the organization at large as needed.

Key Roles and Responsibilities:


(A) Human Resource Management:


(1) Collaborate with global HR team (US) and lead/develop/update/co-ordinate on various HR policies and practices. HR responsibilities include ensuring 100% compliance on recruitment, on-boarding, compensation and benefits planning, performance review, goal setting etc.;
(2) Communicate and explain the organization's HR policies to new employees and ensure all employees understand and comply with policies;
(3) Implement performance review procedures;
(4) Responsible for management of India annual recruiting plans. Ensure adherence to Global HR recruitment policies. Implement effective sourcing, screening and interviewing techniques;
(5) Provide support on legal compliances to ensure adherence to compliance laws and regulations and follow up on statutory obligations - EPF, gratuity, insurance etc.;
(6) Review current HR practices and recommend more effective strategies for implementation (HRIS);
(7) Facilitate with newcomers on joining formalities including HR documentation, IT coordination, leave reporting, expense reporting, gender policy guidelines etc.; 
(8) Review and update job descriptions for all positions regularly; and 
(9) Prepare and submit all relevant HR letters/ documents/ attendance as per the requirements in consultation with concerned Supervisor.

(B) Office Management:


(1) Local Office administration:
(a) Ensure timely day to day office correspondences (mails) on various HR and Admin issues. Co-ordinate with service providers (example- housekeeping and local IT agencies) and ensuring cleanliness of the office premises;
(b) Attendance tracking report (monthly tracking) and its reconciliation with Time sheets;
(c) Upkeep, beautification and up-gradation of office outlook from time to time;
(d) Coordinate with Building Owners Association for sharing of costs and maintenance of common areas / properties;
(e) Management of Office files – safe custody with duly coded and updating master file list;
(f) Coordinate arrangements for special events (WCF, Cofounder visit, Donor visit etc.,);
(g) Logistics and travel support to special events, US visitors, and any special guests (coordination of hotel reservations and maintaining vendor relationships).

(2) Executive support to the Country leadership.

(C) Asset Management (Delhi Office):
(1) All purchases related to office needs and team members (both capital assets and recurring needs– stationary, cafeteria needs);
(2) Office assets maintenance (with the support of Admin Specialist) – follow ups / renewal on periodical AMCs and printers and cross checking periodically;
(3) Documentation of office assets - Maintenance of stock register and periodical updates (both disposal and new assets entry);
(4) Manage relationship with global technology team on staff IT needs as well as implementation of new technology solutions;
(5) Other administrative issues that arise from time to time.



Applicants should have a bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Psychology, Human Resources, Business, or Organization Development.

(1) Minimum eight years of experience in handling HR operations and office administration;
(2) Prior experience to the socio development sector will be an advantage; Applicants with keen motivation to transition to the sector shall also be considered;
(3) Knowledge and work experience in employment law, organizational planning, recruitment, organization development, employee relations, employee engagement etc. will be preferred.

(15) IT Proficiency: Strong knowledge of MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Internet. Knowledge of managing servers, internet connectivity and IT troubleshoot preferred.



Gross compensation for the position is attractive. Please note that the offer made to the selected candidate shall be commensurate with qualifications, experience and salary history.
