SOS Children’s Villages of India is an independent, non-governmental and non-profit organisation working for the holistic development of parentless children, women and children belonging to vulnerable families. Founded in 1949 in Austria, SOS Children’s Villages began its operations in India in 1964. For over 50 years, they have reached out to over 25,000 children through 32 SOS Children’s Villages and 32 community projects in India. SOS Children’s Villages of India was established in 1964 at Faridabad near Delhi. SOS Children’s Villages of India has worked with children, communities, disaster struck and disaster-prone areas, giving hope to weary communities and families. SOS India is the largest operation within the SOS International Federation of 134 countries. 3. JOB DESCRIPTION/ RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

Reporting to the Chief Fund Development Officer, the Head Corporate Partnerships (HCP) is a key member of the leadership team and shall be responsible for growing restricted and unrestricted CSR funding from the domestic corporate sector (including MNCs), positioning SOSCVI as the partner of choice to make beneficial changes to the lives of the most marginalized children in the country. 
 

Responsibilities:
(1) Accountable for achieving aggressive fund-raising targets by personally leading the corporate marketing initiatives developed for assigned corporates, with special focus on closing deals/ donations and achieving set targets, as per the objectives of the organization;

(2) Monitoring the achievement of Corporate Fund-Raising targets and providing support to team members wherever necessary;

(3) Developing new corporate partnerships, increasing reach out to large and medium sized corporate organizations for project partnerships, employee engagement, pay roll giving programs, donation drives, cause related marketing tie-ups, obtaining permission for the conduct of fundraising activities in places like Corporates/ Malls/ Airports/ Public areas, etc. for;

(4) Conducting meetings with potential donors and supporting the closure of deals, to acquire new donor partnerships;

(5) Ensuring compliance with all processes related to donor management, with emphasis on timely and accurate reviews and reporting;
(6) Ensuring regular communication with the corporate partners, to provide them updates on SOS initiatives and the impact of each;
(7) Undertaking independent research for finding suitable donors, assessing donor alignment and reaching out to potential donors, following-up on leads and arranging for meetings, presentations, etc.;
(8) Obtaining and sharing information on best practices/ success stories with team members to build internal capabilities and increase fund generation;
(9) Co-ordinating internal communications and awareness of organization direction, mission, aims and activities;
(10) Conducting surveys of potential corporates and industry segments for fund raising;
(11) Conducting various fundraising initiatives and organizing Fund Raising events;
(12) Building a learning and development culture for the fundraising team;
(13) Taking the lead and driving proposal writing/ processing of grant applications.


4. QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND COMPETENCIES:

 

Qualification:

(1) Applicants must have a graduate degree in any discipline;
(2) Applicants with an MBA shall be preferred.

 

Experience:
(1) Minimum of 12 years of demonstrated success in Going to Market (GTM)/ external facing roles, handling progressively increasing responsibilities;

(2) Track-record of consistently driving teams to achieve annual sales/ fundraising targets in excess of Rs. 50 crores;

(3) Prior experience of working with not-for-profits is not essential.

 

Essential Skills and Competencies:
(1) High energy, passion, and hunger for doing impactful work;
(2) Target-driven with a strong result-orientation, and a history of consistently exceeding expectations;

(3) Demonstrated understanding of the decision-making process followed by corporates, as well as the key players involved in making commitment to big spending on CSR, social and/or corporate causes;

(4) Proven ability to build, manage and develop key stakeholder relationships;

(5) Strong networks and access to the leadership teams of blue chip corporates for soliciting CSR funding;

(6) Excellent organizational, interpersonal and communication skills - both written and verbal;

(7) Hands-on, intrapreneurial leadership style, with a growth and learning mindset;

(8) Ability to work independently yet in a collaborative manner in a fast-paced, dynamic, and agile environment;

(9) Excellent communication skills (English and Hindi). Must have significant and proven writing, presentation and people management skills;

(10) Strong commitment to social cause.
 

5. COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:

Gross compensation budgeted for the position is attractive. Please note that the offer made to the selected candidate shall be commensurate with qualifications, experience, and salary history. The HCP shall be on the regular rolls of SOSCVI after the successful completion of a six-month probation.
