1. POSITIONS VACANT:  Business Development Executives- City Focused Fundraising (BDE-CFF), Bal Raksha Bharat, Mumbai, Indore, Hyderabad, Gurugram and Chennai (Five Vacancies)

Bal Raksha Bharat (BRB), also known as Save the Children, is India's leading independent child rights NGO, with operations in 15 states across the country. BRB runs programmes in the remotest corners of India as well as urban areas, in the thematic areas of Health and Nutrition, Education, Child Protection and Poverty and Inclusion, to facilitate the provision of quality education, healthcare and protection from harm and abuse and life-saving aid during emergencies, to children.

3. JOB DESCRIPTION/ RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

Reporting to the Regional Team Leaders – North, West and South with matrix reporting to the PIU leads of the specific cities, the BDE-CFFs shall be responsible for engaging with and raising funds from city-centric donors including small corporates, HNIs and other donors, for various local development projects, encompassing Multi-Activity Centers, and School Education, WASH, Skill-Building and Protection initiatives. S/he shall be required to meet fundraising targets and interact closely with quality donors.

 

In this public-facing role, the post-holders, shall be expected to uphold the highest standards of integrity and conduct, consistent with BRB values.

 

Key Job Responsibilities:

(1) Achieve quarterly targets in line with annual goals;

(2) Work closely with the programme team to understand the project and cost–impact model;

(3) Organize donor visits, meetings and events to help the programme team showcasing BRB’s work;

(4) Develop a database of local corporates/ HNIs/ other donors and a comprehensive plan for approaching them on a regular basis;

(5) Raise awareness of BRB's work with children across the country and advocacy work around India;

(6) Maintain the highest possible standards of integrity, consistent with BRB values.

(7) Maintain the required levels of confidentiality on information relating to BRB and its supporters;

(8) Any other task assigned by the Line Manager from time to time.

 

4. QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND COMPETENCIES:

 

Qualification:

Applicants should be graduates from reputed institutions.

 

Experience:

(1) Minimum one year of experience in fundraising;

(2) Prior exposure to working with development organisations shall be an added advantage.

 

Essential Skills and Competencies:

(1) Willingness to work outdoors for long hours;

(2) Good presentation and communication skills;

(3) A keen learner, willing to take challenges and work under pressure to achieve assigned targets;

(4) Gender-sensitive with strong conviction and skills for ensuring the empowerment of excluded and disadvantaged children.

(5) An organized, team player, self-starter and result-oriented individual.

 

5. COMPENSATION OFFERED:

 

Gross compensation budgeted for the position is attractive. Please note that the offer made to the selected candidates shall be commensurate with qualifications, experience, and salary history.

 

6. NUMBER of VACANCIES and LOCATIONS: Five Vacancies; Mumbai [1], Indore[1], Hyderabad[1], Gurugram [1] and Chennai [1].
