1. POSITION VACANT: Lead - People Management (LPM), Alliance for an Energy Efficient Economy (AEEE), New Delhi

 

2. ORGANIZATIONAL BACKGROUND:

 

Alliance for an Energy-Efficient Economy (AEEE) is India’s leading policy support and implementation organisation and enabler of the energy efficiency market with a not-for-profit motive. AEEE promotes energy efficiency as a resource and collaborates with industry and government to transform the market for energy-efficient products and services, thereby contributing to meeting India’s energy security goals, clean energy, and climate change. AEEE collaborates with diverse stakeholders such as policymakers, government officials, businesses and industries, consumers, researchers, and civil society organizations.

3. JOB DESCRIPTION/ RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

Reporting to the Executive Director, the Lead – People Management (LPM) shall institute best-in-class HR policies, practices and processes, to help the company achieve its business objectives. S/he shall be responsible for providing strategic, as well as day-to-day leadership of HR initiatives, for building an agile, world-class, energy think tank, attracting and retaining some of the best talent and thought leaders in the sector.

 

AEEE’s steadfast commitment to advancing the field of energy efficiency and fostering India’s leading think tank in this area, shall require the post-holder to play a pivotal role in spearheading and enabling transformative cultural changes within the organization. S/he will assume a leadership position at the forefront of talent management initiatives, with a primary focus on culture building, talent retention and other critical areas. The LPM’s leadership efforts and contributions, as above, shall be endorsed and actively championed by AEEE's top leadership, which includes the President and Executive Director.

 

Key Job Responsibilities:

 

(1) HR Operations:

(a) Oversee and ensure compliance with HR policies, processes, and reporting requirements;

(b) Drive policy, process and compliance adherence;

(c) Manage the complete employee lifecycle covering recruitment and appointment, onboarding, promotions, and separations.

 

(2) Talent Acquisition and Retention:
(a) Drive the recruitment process in line with the business requirements and create a hiring plan and budget in line with the business plan of the organization;
(b) Develop and implement innovative strategies to attract, retain, and nurture top talent within the organization.

 

(3) Employee Engagement:
(a) Define and drive the employee engagement agenda, act as an employee champion including voicing employees’ concerns in management meetings and create and implement effective internal employee communication forums;
(b) Create and execute initiatives to boost employee engagement, satisfaction, and well-being.

 

(4) Compensation and Benefits:
Establish the company compensation plan and pay policies and variable pay performance system for all employees.

 

(5) Performance Management:
(a) Create and deploy performance management which creates a performance-driven organization with clearly defined goals and measuring systems and processes;
(b) Establish and maintain HR metrics and reporting systems to track key performance indicators related to talent management.

 

(6) Learning and Development:

(a) Drive learning programs including technical training and ensure that programs are in line with the development of the business.

 

(7) Organizational Development and Change Management:
Support and oversee change management initiatives related to restructuring, cultural change, or other significant changes, aligning the workforce with the organization's values, vision, and goals.

 

(8) Legal Compliance:

Ensure compliance with labor laws, regulations, and reporting requirements at all levels of government.

 

(9) Automation and Innovation:
(a) Promote the use of automation and/or technology-based solutions for delivering HR outcomes;
(b) Utilize data and analytics to drive talent management decisions and measure the effectiveness of initiatives.

 

4. QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND COMPETENCIES:

 

Qualification

Applicants must have an MBA or PG in Human Resource Management from a reputed institution.

 

Experience

(1) Eight to ten years of experience in a leadership position managing people development, organizational design, recruitment, compensation and benefits, employee relations, training, and HR project management;

(2) Extensive knowledge of Indian labor laws, and related acts, regulations, and procedures, applicable to personnel;

(3) Experience of working in the development sector shall be an advantage.

 

Skills and Competencies

(1) Strong communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills;

(2) Ability to maintain the standards of confidentiality and professionalism;

(3) Sound judgment, able to influence senior managers and be seen as a credible source of advice;

(4) Ability to lead the entire gamut of HR activities;

(5) Ability to create strategic plans and lead their execution;

(6) Ability to manage multiple stakeholders;

(7) Ability to organize work to meet deadlines;

(8) A strategic thinker and people-oriented professional.

 

5. COMPENSATION OFFERED:

 

Gross compensation budgeted for the position is attractive. Please note that the offer made to the selected candidate shall be commensurate with qualifications, experience, and salary history.
