1. POSITIONS VACANT: Logistics Assistant, Foundation for Innovative New Diagnostics (FIND) India, New Delhi

 

2. ORGANIZATION BACKGROUND:

 

The Foundation for Innovative New Diagnostics (FIND), is established in India as an independent, non-profit, created under Section 8 (Indian) Companies Act, 2013, with its office in New Delhi. FIND India is the key implementing partner of Central TB Division, Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Government of India, for strengthening and expanding TB laboratory diagnostic capacity under the National Tuberculosis Elimination Program (NTEP) with the support of the Global Fund.

 

FIND India is a subsidiary of FIND, an international non-profit organization based in Geneva, Switzerland. The organization is dedicated to activities that result in: 1) new diagnostic tools; 2) expanded access to these tools; and 3) strengthened diagnostic testing capacity for poverty-related diseases in low-and middle-income countries.

3. JOB DESCRIPTION/ RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

Reporting to the Logistics Officer, the Logistics Assistant (LA) shall be responsible for assisting in supply chain related activities in Strengthening sustainable Laboratory Diagnostics Network of NTEP under Global Fund Grant including the planned PPE Procurement and Supply.

 

Key Responsibilities:

(1) Assist in demand planning of consumables and reagents for timely procurement.

(2) Coordinate with Procurement Team/Agency, Vendors, and Courier agency for timely dispatch of all shipments and track onward dispatches and coordinate with shipper/carrier for timely delivery of all shipments;

(3) Coordinate with respective location for acknowledgement of delivered shipments;

(4) Assist in preparation and forwarding filled in Consignment Receipt Certificate (CRC) for delivered shipments and coordinate with respective location and obtain signed and stamped CRC;

(5) Assist in location and ensure proper storage of delivered goods;

(6) Undertake periodic visit to sites and help/train site personnel on good practices of store and stock management;

(7) Ensure receipt of Stock Register and Lot No. and Expiry of individual site(s) and suggest corrections on deficiencies observed;

(8) Monitoring of slow, non-moving and short expiry products and timely re-location to other sites and avoid expiration;

(9) Assure proper filing of all logistics related documentation;

(10) Perform other duties and responsibilities as required.

 

4. QUALIFICATION, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

 

Qualifications:

Applicant must be graduate in any discipline.

 

Experience:

Minimum five years of work experience in the field of project administration with emphasis on supply chain management.

 

Skills and Competencies

(1) Ability to communicate effectively in English and Hindi; 

(2) Good communication and interpersonal skills;

(3) Strong presentation and organizational skills;

(4) Excellent computer skills, particularly in MS Office (MS Excel, MS Word, Outlook, Power Point);

(5) High level of integrity and honesty;

7. COMPENSATION OFFERED:

 

The gross remuneration budgeted for the position is attractive and shall be commensurate with the qualifications, experience, and salary history, of the selected candidate.

 

8. CONTRACT TYPE AND PERIOD:

 

The successful candidate shall be issued an employment contract from the date of joining till June 30, 2021, and shall be renewable subject to satisfactory performance, project extension and fund availability.
