1. POSITION VACANT: Program Manager (Performance Management), Piramal Foundation for Education Leadership, New Delhi

2. ORGANIZATION BACKGROUND:

Piramal Foundation for Education Leadership (PFEL)/ Kaivalya Education Foundation (KEF) is a leadership development organization which works with education leaders to improve student learning outcomes at scale and believe in the capability of the government systems in India to be the drivers of large-scale change in the domain of education. Over the years, PFEL/ KEF worked with governments across multiple states to demonstrate the impact of efforts on Student Learning Outcomes.

PFEL/ KEF work on catalysing public system change by developing a cadre of competent and passionate leaders who have the foresight and courage to sustainably impact the nation’s grassroots at scale. PFEL/ KEF currently working in the 13 states on building the leadership skills of government education officials at school, block, district and state level and have been recognised as a value-adding partner in driving transformation initiatives in education at the state and district levels.

PFEL/ KEF interventions with government partners are as follows:

(1) Piramal/Gandhi Fellowship is an intensive two-year youth leadership program to build leadership capabilities of young leaders through rigorous and reflective experiences at grass-roots and with government system;
(2) Principal Leadership Development Program is designed to build the leadership skills of headmaster and teachers of government schools to improve student learning outcomes;
(3) District Transformation Program is designed to develop CRCs/ BRCs as Coaches and Master Trainers within the district to develop teacher capacities, in turn leading to fostering of learning outcomes of children in the district;
(4) State Transformation Program is a systemic change program designed around working with top educational bodies and education officials in the state to build a cadre of highly trained Master Coaches and Master Facilitators to train the teacher trainers within the state, and improve the key processes of the state education system

PROGRAM OVERVIEW:

Kaivalya Education Foundation (KEF) and Piramal Foundation for Education Leadership (PFEL) is a change management organization that supports Public Education System Leaders in improving the learning levels of students by enabling people and embedding technology.
KEF/ PFEL was founded with the objective of strengthening the public education system of the country by transforming the new generation of leaders in education. KEF/ PFEL’s goal is to gain expertise in leveraging multi-level partnership with state governments to catalyze the turn-around of failing schools.

3. JOB DESCRIPTION/ RESPONSIBILITIES:

Organization Development (OD) was set up as an independent function within the organization in the year 2017 to work on strategic HR projects and manage HR transformation. This function is responsible for designing and institutionalizing projects and processes across HR disciplines to achieve strategic business goals and organizational objectives in partnership with the business heads. Some of the key areas where this function plays a key role are organizational competencies, performance management, career paths, job-levelling, compensation benchmarking, HR policies and culture articulation and retention.

Program Manager (Performance Management), will report to the Lead- Organization Development, with line reporting to the CEO. The incumbent will build the team and products to develop, change manage and govern the PFEL’s performance framework:

Key Roles and Responsibilities:

(A) Evolve and change manage the current performance management framework and routines:
(1) Lead the evolution of current framework, routines and governance mechanisms;
(2) Be consultant to business units in developing and institutionalizing their performance management strategy (KRA setting, Review, feedback mechanisms, etc);
(3) Govern the institutionalization organizational performance management routines and performance assessment and evaluation cycle.

(B) Conceptualize and change manage ‘Career Pathing’ framework for a high speed, agile organization:
(1) Lead the evolution of framework, routines and governance mechanisms;
(2) Be consultant to business units in developing individual career paths;
(3) Lead the evolution of framework, routines and governance mechanisms for high potential identification, development and retention.

(C) Institutionalize technology-centric solutions for Performance Management:
(1) Lead design and implementation of tech platform for Performance Management and Career Paths;
(2) Conceptualize and change manage a tech-oriented approach to performance management.

4. QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND COMPETENCIES:

Qualifications:
Applicants must be Graduate and/or Post Graduate in Organisational Development, HR or equivalent;

Experience:
Minimum eight years of experience in Organizational Development, OD Consulting or Performance Management including three years of experience in leading teams to visualise, design and implement performance management systems in complex organizations.

Skills and Competencies:
(1) Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently in high ambiguity
(2) Ability to travel local and outstation for workshops and meetings minimum 10-15 days in a month. Cost of travel will be sponsored by the organisation.
