About the Project:

The Utkrisht Impact Bond, designed by Palladium Group, is the world’s first health development impact bond and the largest and most ambitious impact bond to date, aimed at reducing the number of maternal and newborn deaths in Rajasthan, India. Palladium Group will be managing its implementation.

It is an innovative results-based financing mechanism that will use private investor capital to fund interventions aimed at improving maternal and new-born health in the state of Rajasthan, India. Specifically, the this bond supports the preparation for accreditation to national standards of private sector small health-care organizations (SHCOs) in Rajasthan. Achievement of the accreditation will result in better quality care, and in turn this is expected to reduce maternal and neonatal mortality. This bond aims to prepare at least 360 SHCOs to apply for a combined quality certification from the Federation of Obstetrics and Gynaecological Societies of India (FOGSI) and the National Accreditation Board for Hospitals and Healthcare Providers (NABH).


Reporting to the Utkrisht Impact Bond Manager, the Data Analyst shall be responsible for overall management, analysis and oversight of all programme data of Utkrisht Impact Bond. The successful candidate will work closely with the Utkrisht Impact Bond Manager and the Washington DC-based Palladium Group data analytics team to develop and drive the data analysis portfolio, with a focus on data use to drive performance of target outputs and outcomes through active performance management of local service providers who will deliver the support services to SHCOs.


(1) Support in development and pilot testing of the information management system;
(2) Compile and analyse system data and ensure for its accuracy and completeness of data fields in all respect;
(3) Review and regular update organization‐wide performance dashboards, identify and understand variances.
(4) Responsible for developing information driven insights to help identify trends and opportunities and provide solutions based on these insights.
(5) Identify or monitor current and potential factors, using business intelligence tools;
(6) Build compelling data visualizations to communicate data-driven insight by using Power BI or Tableau;
(7) Train and capacity build of users on analysis of data and usage of information management system;
(8) Oversee and apply quality checks on the data and analyze reports so as to ensure quality of data and areas for improvement;
(9) Monitor and ensure timely dissemination of data, indicators, reports and bulletins.


Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Monitoring and Evaluation, Informatics.

Minimum five years’ experience in data handling and analysis, preferably in the health sector.

Skills and Competencies: 
(1) Advanced problem solving, analytical, and quantitative skills, including significant experience working in Excel (modelling);
(2) Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, set priorities, and work independently and flexibly with a strong commitment to excellence;
(3) Fluent in English and Hindi (Excellent written and verbal skills) and possessing strong abilities in data and report presentation with ability to effectively communicate information to staff in a way that is clear and easily understood by the end user;
(4) Candidates having knowledge and experience in SQL query, VBA programming, Power BI, Tableau are preferred for this position.


The gross remuneration budgeted for the position is attractive. Offers shall be commensurate with the qualifications, experience and salary history, of the selected candidate.


The successful candidate shall be issued an initial contract for a period of two years, extended annually based on performance.
